3D Animation

2018

I was required to take a 3D animation class to complete my degree in Kinetic Imaging at VCU. I made quite abstract pieces; much of the technical elements that go into 3D still elude me.

It can be interesting to play around with things that don’t come naturally to you.

I was very into cell biology at the time. And Blake Shelton. I had a very long artist statement about this one.

Formal shape experimentation. Calling back a bit to the cell biology with the background.

The main focus of this video are the original 3D models, these strange natural shapes that after a while started to resemble a very strange farm that I imagined floating in the air like this. Sound design by me with samples from freesound.org.
