This is my picture – (of me, Lydia Gyurina)
I’m a multimedia artist, animator, and writer based in the Boston area where I grew up. I received my B.F.A. in Kinetic Imaging (animation & video) from Virginia Commonwealth University Honors College in 2020, with an additional minor in creative writing.
My animations often begin with hand-drawn or painted designs, which are then photographed and animated digitally. I also work in stop motion, design, and video and sound arts, with a particular focus on self-portraiture.
My Hungarian last name is pronounced jur-ee-na and my pronouns are she/her/hers.
