Fort

2016

This sculpture was part of a project inspired by Memphis design, with my Art Foundation instructor, Jon Rajkovich. It used plywood, Astroturf, a large photographic print of cotton balls soaking in laundry detergent, synthetic tile, and aluminum tape, to create a structure that was designed to allow me to stand up in it, and reveal only my eyes upward, as well as the bottom half of me – alternatively, I could also crouch down inside the box, and take a nap, or rest, or read.

Unfortunately, I had no space to store this sculpture and it was destroyed.
