Environment & Lighting: An Exercise for a Potentially Awesome Selfie

Look around. What is physically in this room, that would show up in a selfie, if you chose to take one, right now?

How many selfie environments do you see? Write all of them down in a list – how many distinct backgrounds can you imagine without leaving this room?

Look at the light that’s falling in this space, falling on you? How can you harness it to look a certain way? Is there a certain lighting that would make you feel like you look your “best?” How did you get to the genesis of your “best self?”

The environment does not exist in and of itself – you are a part of this environment, too.

Do you “fit in” where you are right now? Why or why not?

What are the specific things making you fit in or not?

How can you harness the environment around you, and your own body, to make you feel & be seen on your own terms?

You have 5 minutes to take a selfie in with as many backgrounds as possible.
